The Birdhouse will award
prizes for the best amateur nature photos submitted by July 31, 2008. Winning photos will be featured on our website. Any nature subject is eligible: outdoor scenes, animals, plants, trees, and weather or your favorite bird at the feeder.
Prizes
1st: Garden bench with arbor
2nd: Stained glass hanging
3rd: Garden step stone
Submit up to 6 photos, but label each with your name and phone number on the back.
Photos will be judged by noted Madison photographer Kendal Miller.*
Submitted photos must be minimum 4” x 6” , and printed on paper or photo stock. Printed digital and film photos accepted. Photos cannot be returned, and entries may be displayed at The Birdhouse and/or at thebirdhousemadison.com.

Discover The Birdhouse Kids Club
New 2008 Schedule Announced
Kids are invited to join The Birdhouse Kids Club, which meets each first and third Thursday of the month from 3:30—5:30 pm in The Birdhouse Discovery Center. The club is open to all children in first through fourth grades.
Naturalist Kelly Misamore and Program Coordinator Bernadette Wickersham will facilitate the meetings, and promise the nature-oriented agenda will be “naturally fun”.
A fee of $5.00 will be charged for each child for each meeting. Funds will be used for materials and snacks. After 5 club visit kids get a free kids club t-shirt. Call the store for more information at 273-1193.

The Birdhouse Discovery Center is the place for Fun Fit Fridays between 12 and 1 you can stop by to try this interactive video game or stop in anytime we’re here and just ask to try it before you buy..
